DS9: Emissary

  • Nice to see Sisko's journy from AngryGrievingMan(TM) to CryingMess(TM) to CalmReadyToMoveForwardMan (TM).

  • His conversation with those... being things... would have annoyed me after two seconds flat: "xxx: What is this?"

  • Quark and Odo are cool from the outset. :o)


The spiritual stuff does nothing for me particularly. Overall though a nice start to the series. I've literally only seen a few odd eps of DS9 but I liked this. I've heard season 1 can be a bit slow but is good in places and worth sticking with...

I'm waiting for Alex to faint at this post. Will post to UMTSS later when at home. Watching of the series will be slow and sporadic, as I'm getting the discs from lovefilm (rental service), but since I can get them 'free' in effect since it's a monthly charge, I have very little excuse not to watch anymore. :o) Since I can't guarantee the order I get the discs in my queue in, and each DS9 *disc* is listed separately, once one of those has shipped I add the next to the top of my list and so on.

I think they have a class at the academy on talking with highly advanced extraplanar energy beings. God knows they've met enough before now.
